This is my first blog post on my website. I am just trying this out for today to see how it works. My intent is to use this to keep parents "in the loop" about themes / activities that are happening in the speech room.
Several of my students have begun a new social thinking curriculum called "Superflex"! So, if your child comes home and mentions something about being a "Rock Brain" or a "Brain Eater", you know where it's coming from! I am very excited about using this curriculum in my room. The goal of Superflex is to provide a fun, motivating way to improve the child's social and behavioral flexibility and to ultimately develop better self monitoring and self-feedback loops for their social behavior. So far, the students have LOVED learning about Superflex, Social Town, and the Team of Unthinkables. More on this later...
